ASHES- This song was written about 1989 or so, when I was living with a buddy (Randy Erwin) near Lipan, Texas.
LEARNING TO PLAY- I wrote this song in the early seventies when I first learned some Chet Atkins style pickin'.
RAINDROPS FALLIN'- I was playing around with some chords in about 1977 and thought the chords sounded like rain, so a song was born.
SHE COULD TAKE MY HEART- I wrote this song in about 1991 to impress a female unit.... it didn't impress her....
SOMEONE ELSE'S SHOES- I wrote this song while I was in college in 1975. I guess it was slightly influenced by "jazz" progressions.
SHOW ME LOVE AGAIN- Wrote this while feeling sorry for myself after a heartbreak around 1982 or so. It was therapeutic.
ELSIE THE PURPLE COW- I wrote this song in high school (1973), way before I was even around any left-handed cigarettes...
